INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … There’s power in you – use it!
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Mk. 16: 15-20; Phil. 4:13
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongue; they SHALL TAKE UP SERPENTS; and if THEY DRINK ANY DEADLY THING, IT SHALL NOT HURT THEM; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY SHALL RECOVER.” Mk. 16:17-18 KJV
It is a fact that every believer has inherent power. So long as you believe in Jesus, you’ve got this innate ability (Mk. 16:15).
Like we’re seeing in our key verse, this ability brings healing to others, liberates the demon-possessed, makes one immune to poison etc. and it works exactly the way Jesus said it – exactly the way Jesus had it. Praise the LORD!
It’s important I emphasize that Bible is not speaking figuratively when it talks about we casting out demons, immunity to poison, bringing healing to the sick, etc. because this is my daily experience – this is what I do and it ALWAYS works!
Don’t forget: Jesus never lied, so certainly this cannot be a lie (Jn. 14:6). It’s important to believe that you’ve power because if you choose to do otherwise, you’re telling Jesus that what He said is not real.
See! This ability is not the preserve of only pastors, teachers and prophets – it’s for all believers.
“…these signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE…”
As a Christian, God wants to heal and perform all other kinds of wonders through you too.
Be resolved, starting from today, to help those around you using this ability inside of you – for God expects you to do that.
Have the boldness, as a Christian, to utilize the name of Jesus. Be bold and you’ll get results EVERY TIME! Praise the LORD!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Indeed, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Phil. 4:13). I use the name of Jesus BOLDLY wherever I go. Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Evangelise in the consciousness of your God given power
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Matt. 10:5-8
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, ALL POWER is given unto me IN HEAVEN and IN EARTH. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matt. 28:18-20 KJV
Read throughout the Bible and you will discover that every one Jesus sent, He gave him power – power over ALL works of evil (without any exception – sickness, death, demons, evil spirit, you name it). And beloved, you must understand that things have not changed – GOD IS DOING THIS MORE THAN EVER!
The problem with many Christians is that they do not evangelise in the consciousness of this divine authority they carry.
Many Christian folks have not been taught this truth. Others have not treated this reality with utmost seriousness and that explains why lots of Christians evangelise to sick folks, and people with all kinds of demonic oppression and leave their rooms WITHOUT SOLVING THESE PROBLEMS TOO. They just speak about Christ and exit.
Beloved, you must understand that God is not happy with such an attitude.
If you give your secretary authority to control affairs in your office because you will be absent for sometime, and you come back and discover that the secretary was having some kind of laissez-faire attitude where every one did what he or she liked in your absence, will you be happy with such a secretary?
“If I knew she wouldn’t manage the office well, I wouldn’t have left the place under her authority,” or a similar statement would perhaps be your thought.
NOTE: God gives us authority because He expects us to use it.
The precedence to this commission as seen in today’s key verse:”ALL power is given to me (Jesus) in earth,” is also worth-noting.
Then He added: “Go ye THEREFORE…”
In other words, because of this absolute divine authority I now have, GO!
What our Master is communicating to us is this:
“As you go, bear in mind and within your spirit that the one who sent you has absolute power/authority in this entire universe and (thus) there’s no problem you cannot solve.”
That’s what the Apostles taught us: as they went out about evangelizing, they ALWAYS dealt with such situations they met – whether it be demonic oppression, diseases, death, etc – and God does not expect you to act any different.
Be bold! The name of Jesus works!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD thank you for I’m full of power. Indeed, as you are so I am in this world (1 Jn.4:17b), and as long as I’m in the world, I‘m the light of the world (Matt. 5:13; Jn. 9:5). Every time I go preaching, the Word I carry brings healing, breakthroughs, life, freedom, joy, peace, happiness to ALL my listeners. Indeed I am problem-solver, distributing these goodies freely (Matt. 10:8), in Jesus’ precious name. Amen! Praise the Lord!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Be concerned about others
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Phil. 2: 1-11
“Don’t do anything from selfish ambition… but be humble towards one another, always considering others better than yourself. And look out for one another’s interests, not just for your own.” Phil. 2: 3-4
There are many who are not concerned about the well-being of others . All they want is to feel comfortable and they go all lengths to get this comfort they so desire. Even when their pursuit of comfort is detrimental to others, they don’t care.
These folks often use phrases like ‘Each one for himself; God for us all,’ or ‘I can’t help you to my disadvantage,’ and the like. Beloved, although statements like these are the world’s wise sayings, you must understand that NOT ALL WISE SAYINGS OF THIS WORLD CONFORM TO BIBLICAL TENETS OR INSTRUCTIONS.
In fact, several of these wise sayings are unscriptural statements. For example, the world says ‘each one for himself, God for us for all’ but our key verse says, ‘And look for one another’s interest, not just for your own.’
Another wise saying of this world is ‘Seeing is believing,’ and this statement is in direct contrast to the words of Jesus: ‘…Blessed are they that have not yet seen, yet have believe.’ Jn. 20:29.
In other words, Jesus is saying God does not expect us to see before we believe; He requires that we believe first and then we would see (also see Matt. 21:22).
Be concerned about others. Let the welfare of your parents mean more to you, esp. if you are a worker. Have at heart the well-being of your siblings (even your disobedient brothers and sisters) and support them.
When you see the vulnerable on the streets, does it occur to you that your (pocket) money can make a difference in their lives?
What are you doing to help the poor room mate – I mean your room mate who can’t afford a meal?
Remember, God wants us to ‘consider others better than we consider ourselves’ Phil. 2:3.
So go ahead and practise this message the LORD has just laid on your heart. This is the secret of greatness and a deeper walk with our Master Jesus. Praise the LORD!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I thank you for your Word. Help me to have MORE concern for all around me, in Jesus’ name, amen.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Be an all-round Christian
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Eph. 4:11-16
“…you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Cor. 8:7
It is easy to find Christians who are strong in every area of their Christian lives but fail woefully when it comes to giving. They can pray very well, they are excellent in sharing the Word, they talk politely, you just name it, but have not trained themselves to also excel in this grace of giving.
You can excel in this grace of giving. You can be the best when it comes to giving also. You can be an all-round Christian. That’s what God wants from you. You can become exactly what God wants you to be. Make that your focus.
What you must realise is that it is your responsibility to be an all-round Christian and not the responsibility of any other .
Apostle Paul says:
…SEE (to it) that YOU ALSO EXCEL IN this grace…” 2 Cor. 8:7
That is to say, you must ensure you don’t fail in this aspect of your Christian life.
Be generous to every one you meet in this life: let your money and wisdom help improve the lives of other.
Don’t be interested in your own success – be concerned also about the course/classmate who you know fails all the time and help him. Give to support your church, fellowship or denomination. Let your money support the gospel. That’s how to make blessings of God overwhelm you. Praise God!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
In the name of the Lord Jesus I receive more grace for giving. I receive the Word of love into my heart. I’m growing into a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Eph. 4:13). Amen!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Plan your life
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Hab.2:2, Ecc.9:10, Prov.16:3
“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Prov. 29:18KJV.
One of the most important things in life is vision. For a very productive Christian life, vision becomes even more imperative. You must have in mind what you want to do, where you want to be, what you want to be- that vision! That’s what makes you focused. Without vision, we perish (get destroyed).
That’s why you must prayerfully set out a vision for regular periods -it should be detailed and it must cover all aspects of your life- your marriage, academics, ministry, etc. It’s important to write down your vision (Hab.2:2).
After you’ve prayerfully set out a vision, you shouldn’t end there –work at it, do it with all your strength. (Ecc.9:10), investing great deal of prayers into it. That’s what focus is all about. It’s essential also to consistently remind yourself of the vision by going over it (that is, by reading and pondering over it) regularly. This also will help you maintain focus.
Your vision must succeed and if will, it depends on you. Set out a vision now, or if you already have a new resolution, strengthen it with the word of God you have received today. It’s not too late. 2013 is certainly the year the Lord has made, custom-designed just for you. Do your part. God bless you.
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
In the name of the LORD Jesus, I receive divine ability to set the right vision before myself. My vision is God’s vision and it is advancing with a speed beyond the speed of light. I’m sticking to my God-given vision with unparalleled industry, great perseverance and prayers. LORD I thank you for its success. Amen!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Use words to mould your life
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Prov. 18:20, Matt.17: 20
“Thou shalt also decree a thing (that is, decide on a matter), and it shall be established (instituted, gain full recognition or acceptance)… and the light shall shine upon thy ways (that is, on your agenda; your path)”. Job 22:28 KJV
As a child of God, one thing you must be constantly conscious of is the authority you have. As several folks walk on in this life battered and ravaged by circumstances, choose to be different! You can actually decide how each day would be for you! How? Just use your mouth – the anointed tongue our Lord has given you as His son.
The key scripture above says you shall decree a thing and it shall gain full recognition/acceptance. Oh amazing? So you see, you don’t need to go through life with uncertainties. You must decide how life should be for you – use words to mould your life.
Declare your today glorious: declare you’re full of divine health. Declare you’re living righteously. Declare yourself blessed beyond mishaps, for these are the things the Word of God says about you. Declare you live an extraordinary life. Don’t be vague – go ahead and declare specific details concerning your walk with the Lord, academics, marriage, health, finances etc.
As scripture has said, when you decree , it shall be instituted and God’s light shall begin shinning in your path. This means no more darkness – no more darkness of failure, sickness, confusion, misfortunes, etc. But it all begins with your mouth.
“For whatsoever is born of God (whether human, animal, plant; animate or inanimate – as far as it’s born of God) overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1Jn. 5:4.
This means your faith is formidable- it CAN’T be overcome!
Those of us familiar with cyber terminologies are quiet au fait with the acronym WYSIWYG which stands for’ ‘What You See Is What You Get’. From the scriptures, we’ve a new version of this acronym: ‘What You Say Is What You Get.’ It’s time to start uttering words backed with your indomitable faith. It’s time to start decreeing. Begin now!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
I declare my life is blessed. The hand of the lord is mighty upon me. I walk in this life without any sickness or signs/symptoms of infirmities. My academics is marvelous this semester for my grades are extraordinary. My mind is anointed, my brains are anointed, for I’m super-intelligent. My eyes are anointed; my family is prospering exceedingly. I command my emotions, eyes and all other sense organs of my body to submit to God and his Word – they’re glorifying God. Praise God! I live to please God EVERY DAY of my life all year round. I’ve said it, it cannot be reversed. Praise God!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Utter what you believe
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Matt. 21 :18-22
“…if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and SHALT BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the HEART man BELIEVETH unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE unto salvation.” Rom. 10:9-10
Scriptural truths should never be taken lightly: we can’t afford to despise the wisdom of God’s Word. Perhaps you have wondered, “Why is it that the ‘Prayer & Confessions’ section of our devotional (Inspiring Daily Devotional), we write ‘pray aloud.’?”
“Can’t we pray silently? Why should it be loud?”
Well, it’s because that’s what the Bibles teaches.
Beloved, you must understand that there is absolutely nothing as ‘praying silently.’ At least one’s lips should move. There is not a single scripture that says or implies we can pray silently WITHOUT UTTERING A SINGLE WORD.
The heart, our key verse tells us, is for believing and with the mouth you speak (confess) onto salvation, i.e. you speak for your salvation/deliverance to actually happen.
That’s what is involved in being born-again. THE SAME IS TRUE about every kind of salvation you want in addition – you say and you believe! It may be a financial salvation/miracle you desire, it may be relationship-wise, it may even be healing, ministerial or academic. The principle is the same: you BELIEVE AND you SPEAK.
Jesus puts it this way:
“For verily I say unto you (assuredly I say unto you; I can assure you), that whosoever SHALL SAY unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and SHALL NOT DOUBT in his heart, but SHALL BELIEVE that those things which saith shall come to pass; HE SHALL HAVE WHATEVER HE SAITH.” (be it academic, financial, ministerial, healing, etc).
That’s why we encourage the world to pray and confess aloud. To ‘pray aloud’ IS NOT THE SAME as ‘being noisy.’ As far as you can hear yourself, it is loud. When we teach that prayer must be said aloud, it makes it clear that the prayer should not be said silent – it must AT LEAST be uttered by the tongue!
Scripture tells us about Hannah’s prayer. ‘Her lips moved,’ (1 Sam. 1:13). Although her words could not be heard by Eli, the movement of her lips vividly informs us she was NOT silent – she was saying something!
If you believe you’re blessed, say it. If you believe God is making you a great person, learn to refer to yourself as great.
It’s time to confess unto your salvation/deliverance!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Every area of my life is blessed. LORD, you’ve blessed me so much I’m even embarrassed by your blessings upon my life and my family. Every thing I do is blessed & prospers speedily. Indeed, I’m light years ahead of my contemporaries. I’m super-intelligent; soo wise – for you’re at work in me.
As long as I am in the world, I’m the light of the world. Praise the LORD!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Preach the Word
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: 2 Tim. 4: 1-5
“…This book of the law (the Word of God) shall not depart out of thy mouth…” Josh. 1:8
You see, it’s God’s desire that the Word does not depart out of your mouth.
Is it not profound that the Bible does not say the Word should not depart ‘out of your heart’ but it says ‘ out of your mouth?’ That teaches that teaching and preaching the Word is at the heart of God. That’s was God’s instruction to His servant Joshua, and today, God is telling His servants same:
‘…shall not depart of thy mouth…’ means, ‘keep saying the Word. You should never stop saying it. Speak it wherever you go.’
Bible says in the city of Ephesus, so mightily grew the Word of God and prevailed. Acts 19:20 Praise the Lord!
Every one can share the gospel. Bible says when the early Christians were scattered, they went EVERY WHERE preaching the Word (Acts 8:1-4).
Be self-motivated to preach the Word. If you were preaching it at first and you stopped, shake yourself up and pick it up again.
Make use of every opportunity you have to make our Master known every where you go and with every strength you have, do it. Don’t let it be one of the things you do – make that your focus in this life.
If you’re a teacher, seize some time, as often as practical to talk about Jesus. If you’re an accountant, learn to consciously and cleverly chip in Jesus into conversations with your clients.
Let this mind be in you. You should begin from today!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I thank you so much for today’s reminder to preach the Word. I release every strength I’ve to make Jesus known to all around me, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … God wants you healthy
Posted by godsvisionlegon
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper AND BE IN HEALTH, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 Jn 2
Sickness has never been the desire of God for His kids. In the Old Testament, God could inflict sickness on people as a corrective measure, but under the new covenant, He doesn’t do that any more. It’s just like animal sacrifice. In the Old Testament, it was the norm but under the new covenant, animal sacrifice is abolished. Now people confess their sins to have them forgiven, without any animal slaughter. Praise God!
In fact, there’s no scripture under the new covenant that says or even suggests that a Christian became sick because God was punishing Him (note the new covenant began after the death of Jesus). That makes it explicit why it is wrong as a Christian to think God is punishing you for your sins through sickness – God will not do that. No, not today:
“…prosper and be in health…”
That’s God’s will for your life. That’s why our Master healed the sick during His earthly ministry. In fact, he was ALWAYS willing to change sickness to health, weakness to strength. Praise God!
Note that EVERY SICK folk that came to Jesus believing was healed : not a single man came to Him to be turned away by Him for any reason and He won’t turn you away either.
Beloved, God is more willing to heal you than you’re ever ready to receive. You have to believe this.
Sickness is of the devil because God wants you well. Someone may inquire,
‘What about sicknesses that are caused by germs and other physical factors? Can prayer ALONE heal such a person or should it be a combination of prayer and drugs?’
Well, even if you’re sick due to germs, God wants you healed and He can and He’s willing to do that now.
In Luke 4:38-41, we’re told of how Jesus healed a man who had great fever. We all know that fever is a symptom of several physical sicknesses mainly malaria. Malaria we all know is caused by the Plasmodium sp. (which according to Biology is a germ transmitted by the vector mosquito). Note Jesus healed him without a single drug!
In Acts 28:8-9, we read about a man, Publius’ father. We are told he was in bed sick of fever and dysentery. Apostle Paul prayed for him and he received healing – EVEN WITHOUT DRUGS.
If you’re sick today, the LORD wants to make you well. Pray the following prayer with faith; you’ll get out of your sick bed. The pain would be gone. You’ll be free. Let’s pray:
“Sovereign LORD Jehovah, your Word makes me understand you want me healthy. I take advantage of this Word and I receive healing into my body, into every fibre of my being, from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, into every clot of blood in my body, every bone of my body, each and every cell of my being. Praise God! Amen!”
If you prayed this prayer, do what you couldn’t do before. You’ll discover you’re healed, completely well. Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Be number one(1) in your calling
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Jn. 15:20 ; Lk. 6:40
“But Saul’s preaching became more powerful…” Act 9:22
Our Master Jesus is acknowledged across the world in almost all spheres of life as an authority. These spheres of life include religion, philosophy, economics and what have you – among Christians and non-Christians alike!
This is partly due to the quality of words he spoke. His words were backed with tremendous power; and because of that, He greatly transformed the life of His listeners.
Bible records that at a particular time in His life, the Pharisees and chief priests sent soldiers to apprehend Jesus. This is NOT THE STORY IN WHICH HE WAS ARRESTED IN THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE – this happened before he was even betrayed by Judas!
When the officials came to Jesus, he was as usual teaching. They stood there stupefied, ‘drinking from the depths of His wisdom.’ They returned to the authorities that sent them, and when they queried them why they had not brought Jesus along, their reason was simple – yet quite unusual:
“No one ever spoke the way this man does”, the guards replied. Jn.7 :46 Certainly, there’s something extraordinary about the words of our Master.
Today, the LORD WANTS TO SPEAK THROUGH YOU – in the same powerful way. He desires to make the words you speak more powerful, life transforming and amazingly imparting – just like Jesus!
As key verse says,” …Saul’s preaching became EVEN MORE POWERFUL.” Praise the LORD!
So what should you do? It’s simple!
After our Master ascended to heaven, scripture makes us understand that the people of those days noticed that the disciples also spoke with authority:
‘…when they realised that they were unschooled ordinary men, they were astonished (greatly surprised) and THEY TOOK NOTE THAT THESE MEN HAD BEEN WITH JESUS.’ Acts. 4:13 NIV Praise God!
Decide today to be with Jesus. YOU CAN BE THE VERY BEST AS FAR AS YOUR CALLING IS CONCERNED.. You can be top – notch; on top of your calling. Spend great deal of time every day communing with the Master through Bible studies and prayer times. Enjoy these special times with the Son – don’t let it be a mere ritual but more importantly, let it be regularly.
As you do that, your messages will become very powerful – extremely powerful! Remain anointed.
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
As an answer to the cry of billions, I declare my influence is growing more powerful in the Name of Jesus. I spend great deal of time in your presence daily – learning from you and perfectly imitating you (Lk. 6:40). I’m anointed and my words are not ordinary. Praise God!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … The quality of your thoughts matter
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Job. 3:13-26
“Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think …” Rom. 12:2 GW.
Beloved, your pattern of thought is vital to the quality of life you’ll have. Prov. 23:7 make us understand that one cannot be different from one’s thought life.
That’s why you must think right. That’s why it’s essential you discipline /train your mind to think aright EVERY TIME!
It’s a very dangerous thing to fill your mind with fear (of failing, of defeat, dying, ill-health, etc). Fear does not come from God : in fact, fear is of the devil (2 Tim. 1:7).
From our text(s) for today, we discover the cause of Job’s great loss (particularly verse 25). He had allowed the devil to plant and nurture fear in him. The fear grew and matured and the end result was disaster:
“For the thing which I GREATLY FEARED is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” Job 3:25 KJV
That’s what fear can do. Like how the devil took advantage of Job’s fears, the devil is roaming about today to see whose fear he can again take advantage of.
That’s why you have to throw fear away, for you can replace fear with faith. You can begin today.
From Job 3:25, we realize how wrong it is for one to walk in this life being afraid of losing his children, living in fear of failing again, living in fear of not passing an interview, etc.
Jesus has one question for folks who do that:
“Why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?” Mk 4:40.
Believer, understand this: WRONG THOUGHTS HAVE DESTRUCTIVE ABILITIES!
If you’ll think right, every struggle with sin (fornication, adultery, masturbation, theft, etc) will be over. If you’ll think right failure will end. When you begin thinking right, EVERY THING will conform to your thoughts.
“As a man thinks in his heart, SO IS HE…” Prov. 23:7
So what should I do to be able to think right every time?
You ought to feed your mind with the right materials. That’s why visiting this site DAILY is so important . On this site, we present words that would program you for right thinking every day.
Be careful the kind of movies, etc. you watch. Avoid the company of fear-talkers. As you do that, the quality of your thoughts will change. Remain blessed!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
In the name of Jesus, I align my thoughts to your Word. I adamantly refuse to think fear. I’m bold, Knowing that you’re with me. Praise the LORD!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Fulfil your calling to the end
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Jn. 12:1-7
“Demas hath forsaken me (i.e. Paul), having loved this present world is departed… Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him… for he’s profitable to me for the ministry…”.2 Tim. 4:10-11
God calls many folks to labour in His vineyard, but not every one that is called by God fulfils his/her calling TO THE END (Matt. 22:14). In fact, many folks commence fulfilling their calling only to fall out along the way.
This is evidenced in the number of Christians who were ‘on fire’ for the LORD sometime ago but now are no where to be found in His service.
One good example in the Bible is Judas. He disappointed God along the way. Today’s key verse also highlights another example – Demas by name.
Judas began on a very good note. He rose through the ranks of the ministry from just a follower of Jesus to be an apostle, to finally be the only apostle with the complementary duty of managing the church funds (Jn. 12:4, 6).
Beloved, when God calls you, never forget that the Devil attempts every way possible to have you.
Bible tells us of how He tried that on Peter (Lk 22:31-32), Jesus (Lk 4:1-3), and he will try that on you too. That does not mean that you should not respond to the call of God – no one can be fulfilled in life outside his/her calling.
But how does the Devil get people failing out of their calling? We know (2 Cor. 2:11):
The devil does this through the challenges that accompany the calling. That’s why any one called by God ought to know how to handle challenges MOST EFFICIENTLY.
So what challenge couldn’t Judas handle?
It was a public rebuke! Jesus corrected him in front of several other for criticizing a woman who had done nothing wrong and that’s what he couldn’t handle (Jn 12:1-7). Bible tells us he left off immediately after the rebuke to betray Jesus (Mk. 14:3-11, esp. v.10-11).
What about Demas?
For Demas, the challenge was that the ministry demanded so much of him. He couldn’t love the one he was working for (i.e. Jesus) more than the “present world,” so he departed (2 Tim 4:10).
Challenges in the calling make God’s people give up.
Decide today to fulfill your calling TO THE END no matter what. By being more open to your God-given (ministry) leaders and with more prayer and intercession, you can succeed. (Lk 22:31-32). Praise the LORD!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Heavenly Father, thank you for the calling upon my life. I receive divine enablement to overcome every challenge in the line of my calling. Help me to be on top of my calling, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … You’re divinely covered
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Psa. 91
“ I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.” Psa. 23:4
The Lord knows how to rescue godly people their trials (2 Pet. 2:9). The devil seems never to learn lessons. He’s never succeeded in defeating a genuine child of God and yet he’s never relented in his attempt to frustrate God’s children.
Even when it almost looks like the devil has won, the tides abruptly turn around to favour God’s kids: Jesus, Job, Joseph are but a few. Child of God, your trials won’t be any different. You’ll win.
Perhaps it almost looks like the devil has succeeded in frustrating your health, academics, profession, finance, ministry, etc, but like it happened to Joseph and the others, the tables are turning – for help is on the way.
Perhaps you’re been thinking that that sickness can’t be cured and it may eventually send you to the grave, but it’s evil to think that way (Jer. 29:11; Mk. 9:23).
Perhaps your mind tells you the ministry is at verge of collapse – you may even confirm all indications prove so, but hold on – son of God, faithful is He who called you, who will also do it (Thes. 5:24)
He said to Peter the other day, ‘I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it’ (Matt 16:18) and today His Words to you concerning the ministry/business is no different.
The business or enterprise you’re establishing is facing challenges, but I’m telling you things are changing even as you’re reading now. For those whose businesses have already collapsed like it happened to Job (Job. 1:13-17), ready? You’re about to begin a bigger (Job. 42:10-12). Praise God!
Every plan of the devil is failing. The power in God’s Word you’re reading today is enough to deal with it (Heb. 4:12). The LORD indeed knows how to rescue godly people from trials (2 Pet. 2:9).
Take this word by faith and the situations in your life would begin conforming to the dictates of this message. No fears – you’re divinely covered!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I thank you I’m divinely covered. I’ll not be afraid, for you are close beside me (Psa. 23:4). Thank you Lord for this matchless blessing. Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … It pays to be faithful
Posted by godsvisionlegon
This article specifically tackles adultery. It however has perfect solution for fornication and other kinds of sexual sins. It should be seen to address both genders – male and female.
Text(s) for today: Prov. 5:1-23
“Be faithful to your own wife and give your love to her alone. Children that you have by other women will do you no good… Why should you prefer the charms of another man’s wife? The LORD sees everything you do. Wherever you go, he’s watching.” Prov. 5:15-16, 21 GNT
Many folks have learnt through their peers that infidelity is normal. They claim that every young man should have at least one girlfriend in addition to his partner. What an erroneous way to think! What an evil way of reasoning!
“Be faithful to your own wife and give your love to her ALONE,” our key verse stresses.
Some folks reason that this piece of scripture is not trendy, but beloved this must be clear to you: Not every thing in vogue (fashionable) satisfies the will of God.
This means that some trendy things satisfy the will of God and others do not. That’s why you must train yourself with the Word of God – to able to test every thing in vogue with God’s standard. Praise the LORD!
” Why should you prefer the charms of another man’s wife?”
Bible tells us to be faithful to our partners obviously because of the numerous consequences in doing otherwise. Several of these consequences are mentioned in the Holy Writ (the Bible).
These include:
People who indulge in extramarital affairs lose their honor (self-respect) and value. Prov 5:9; 6:26; 6:33.
Strangers will feast on their wealth and toil (i.e. one’s riches will not benefit one’s bonafide family). Prov. 5:10.
You may suffer health consequences. Prov. 5:11
At the end of it all, you’ll regret – for you’ll discover how foolish you have been. Prov. 5:11-14.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, it’s a breach of God’s instructions and just like all other breaches, attracts penalty. 1 Cor. 6:9 Prov. 6:27-29.
*Most seriously, scripture points out CLEARLY that adultery (and its related sins) leads to death (physical and spiritual death). Prov. 2:18-19; 5:3-5; 6:32; 1 Cor. 6:9
Beloved, if you’ve been involved or been involving yourself in this sinful act, take advantage of this timely message to make amends. Decide to change – yes, you can be free (Jn. 8:36).
The LORD is ready to forgive (Psa. 86:5, Jn.1:9) Bible teaches us that any time he forgives, he frees us from all penalties we are supposed to bear. Why? Because he’s already suffered for our sins (Isa. 53:5). Praise God!
If you do not know Jesus as your LORD and personal Saviour (not born-again), take some few minutes to make Him LORD of your life.
If you’re already born-again, pray the below.
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Oh loving Father, thank you for your rich grace. I repent of all the deeds and ask for forgiveness. Today, I’m strengthened to walk righteousness. Indeed from today, sin shall not have dominion over me (Rom. 6:14) – now and for ever. Praise the LORD!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … God provides
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Phil. 4:10 -23
“With all this abundant wealth through Christ…my God will supply all your needs.” Phil. 4:19
If you happen to be reading this devotional, get ready for a miracle of provision today!
If you’ve read the text(s) for today, you’ve realized that that text is about God settling physical/material needs and wants, and not about spiritual needs (although other portions of the Bible address spiritual needs).
It’s therefore clear, beyond every reasonable doubt that when Apostle Paul prayed in the verse 19 that God “supply all your needs,” he was referring to needs like money, food, and other kinds of material possession.
It’s vital this point is made clear because it would help you discover that your academic scholarship, finance and other physical things are all at the heart of God the Father.
3 John 2 makes us understand this better:
“…I wish above all things (ie. above every thing else) that thou mayest PROSPER and be in good health, even as thy SOUL PROSPERETH.”
You see, even as we mature spiritually , God also wants us to prosper in this life.
Beloved, God is not happy when you sit in a bus and pray that the bus conductor forgets to take fare just because you don’t have sufficient money. He wants you to prosper. He desires you so well – academically, financially socially, health – wise, as well as spiritually. Praise the LORD!
He wants you to enjoy (material) prosperity – like the way his faithful servants Job (Job 1:3) and David (1 Kg. 10:7) did. You’ll experience a miracle provision today for God is the one who gives you power to get wealthy (Deu. 8:18).
Beloved, your prosperity is on his heart:
“… Jehovah be magnified, who DELIGHTETH (rejoices; is happy) in the prosperity of his servant.” Psa. 35:27
This is a timely message! This is prophetic! Don’t ignore this message. You have one responsibility RIGHT NOW – a responsibility to believe the words you’re reading right now (Jn. 11:4; Heb. 4:2). You’re not reading these special words by chance : God planned it that way as the answer to your prayer!
God bless you, RECEIVE YOUR LONG – AWAITED MIRACLE/HEALING ANY MOMENT FROM NOW.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Your life is in order
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Gen. 37 ; Gen. 39
“There is hope for a tree: if it’s cut down, it’ll sprout again… Its roots may grow old in the ground… and die in the soil, yet at the scent of water, it’ll bud and put forth shoots…” Job 14:7-9
Joseph’s story is certainly an amazing one. He divulges his dream to his family members and that seemed to have spelt doom for him.
He is sold into a far away land. As if that was not enough, he is accused of raping her mistress. He’s finally put behind bars. Would you believe that he spent about 11years in prison for something he didn’t do?
Today, believers all round the world know for certain that Joseph didn’t attempt the rape because of the testimony of scripture. However, during Joseph’s time, that scriptural evidence was absent. It’d not be surprising that many, during Joseph’s lifetime believed that Joseph indeed attempted rape . Even after elation to the status of Prime minister, it’s certain such erroneous mindset about Joseph still lingered on .
Those who might have doubted the authenticity or veracity of the allegation will be those very close to Joseph – those who knew him are very likely to be convinced about his integrity.
Joseph indeed had to suffer the ignominy of being branded as a rapist for no fault of his at all.
Perhaps things are very tough in your life. Like Joseph, perhaps you seem to be a tree cut down, but I want you to understand that your life is in order! There’s hope for you.
Like the key verse clearly point out, you’ll sprout again!
Perhaps there’s no help coming in from any where but I can tell you emphatically that what you’re experiencing is not real.
Let the words of Job as seen in today’s key verse encourage you: your roots may have grown old in the ground (as far as your academics, health, relationship, family, etc is concerned) or might even be dead physically, yet you’ll bud again.
Beloved, things will turn around for your good. You’ll not remain at that same place in life. As long as you remain a child of God, that situation is not to your disadvantage: IT MUST (and would) work out for your good. Beloved, EACH AND EVERY trouble has been programmed that way by God – to work out for your good (Rom. 8:28). Halleluyah!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD , I thank you I cannot be disadvantage and every situation in my life is working out for my good. I release this understanding upon every life challenge and they conform to this understanding. Indeed, Christ in me, the hope of glory (Col. 1:27) Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … God makes demands of us
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Lev. 22:17-25
“When ye come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest (that is, the very first yield of the land, which obviously is the best yield) unto the priest.” Lev. 23:10 KJV
In many instances throughout scripture (including the instance in our text(s) for today), we see God specify the kind of gift or offering He wants. This means not every gift is acceptable before God. In fact, for those gifts that are unacceptable to Him, He rejects them (Mal. 1:13).
That explains why many folks give or work for the Lord and are not blessed at all. They anticipate returns, yet no return comes at all. Why? Because they give what they feel like giving but not what God wants them to give (i.e. they do not give exactly what God demands of them). Praise God!
Beloved, God makes demands of us. In today’s key verse, He asked for the first and the best yield of the land; with Abraham, He asked for no other person than Isaac – Abraham’s one and only favourite son (Gen. 22:2). Note that Ishmael wouldn’t be a good enough sacrifice for Him. When he told Moses and the Israelites to construct him a tent, He spelt out its specifications (dimensions, type/quality of materials etc). It was up to the Israelites to do every thing possible to make sure those specifications are entirely met.
Beloved, God has no stopped making demands. He still makes demands today.
If you’re an executive of a fellowship, church or denomination, there’s a demand on you: a demand to perform all your God-given roles/duties. As a worker of God, you no longer determine the amount of time to give God. What dictates the amount of time you give God daily is the volume/size of your responsibilities.
For example, if you’re supposed to send messages to souls, the amount of time you spend sending them is wholly determined by the size of your God-given flock and not the amount of time you wish to spend or allot to it. If it takes 3 hours in doing that, that’s God’s demand on you. You must not rush through and do an inferior job in a (desperate) attempt to save some time for yourself.
Let’s give God the first and best part of each day, our money, our energy and what have you. A bumper harvest (of health, finance, prosperity, peace and more) is a natural thing flows into our lives and the lives of those that love us when we do that. Praise God!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I thank you so much for making it able for us to give to you . I receive strength to enable me satisfy fully your demands on my energy, money, time and other resources. Thank you LORD for answered prayer in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Snatch others from hell
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Read Eze. 3:16-21 ; Rev. 22:12
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn. 3:16 KJV
Bible makes it clear: whether someone would go to heaven or be in hell depends on what we Christians do about it today. In order words, our activity or inactivity especially, can easily lead someone to heaven or hell.
God has already done his part by sending Jesus to die for us and by making the Holy Spirit available for us; now God is looking up to us to do something about the salvation of our world. What are you doing to (help) snatch others from hell?
“When I say unto the wicked, ‘Thou shalt surely die,’ and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul (i.e. you have saved yourself from God’s judgment) Eze 3:18-19 Praise God!
This means it’s not an opinion to point others to Jesus – it’s a responsibility. Apostle Paul tells us more:
“… for necessity is laid upon me (i.e. it’s a responsibility), yea woe is unto me (i.e. I’m doomed), if I preach not the gospel!” 1 Cor. 9:16
Beloved, the time for soul-winning is now! If you’re a pastor or church leader or even an executive of a denomination, you have to work extremely hard to win more souls unto the LORD. You should effectively do the part the LORD has given you. If you don’t, one day you’ll account for your stewardship before God and you’ll have to answer for your laziness, apathy or your inactivity.
Don’t remain quiet – talk to your room mates, course mates about Jesus. Don’t be one of those folks who would do every thing with their room mates/ course mates (eat together, share jokes together etc.) except to invite them for Christian service or even talk to them about Christ Jesus.
Spend time regularly praying for your mates who are stubborn and haven’t heeded your warning yet. As you don’t give up in prayer, you’ll be able to win them over to the LORD.
Remember, the value of one (single) soul cannot be compared to the value of every thing in the world combined (Mk. 8:36). The time is speak out is now – start from today!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Lord I receive courage this day to warn all those around me – to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom to them BOLDLY. I declare I make use of every advantage/privilege you’ve given me to make you glorified every where I go, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … The gospel to every nation
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Read Lk. 8:1-4
“And He (Jesus) said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (i.e. everyone in the world).” Mk. 16:15 KJV
The last words of a departing man are his most precious words. Just before Jesus departed to heaven, he instructed that we preach the good news to every single soul in the world. This means evangelism is at the heart of Jesus and it must be on our hearts too.
In our part of the world, the Word of God is ubiquitous- we hear it on the radio, TV, at church, etc. But let’s not take things for granted: the Word of God is not permitted (does not have a free course) yet in many countries round the world. In fact, it’s illegal and highly prohibited for one to call himself a preacher of the good news in Kryrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Albania, Iran, to mention but a few.
Beloved, over 80,000 people die daily in Asia, knowing nothing at all about the saving love of Jesus Christ. In India alone, about 500,000 villages have never heard the gospel (Courtesy: Gospel for Asia).
Beloved, we have to treat this issue with top-most priority and matchless urgency, for the time is very short. When we put all hands on deck and take uncompromising advantage of the enormous technology available today (social sites, websites, WhatsApp, radio, television, SMSs (texting), etc.), we can fulfill this great commission.
Beloved, financing the Word of God with your money is the least you could ever do to fulfill this commission. That is why we encourage people to give. With huge financial investments, we can saturate the media, internet, telecommunication networks/phones with the Word of God.
Everyone can get involved in this great commission. Beloved, you may not be able to get to these nations with the Word, but your money can help reach those nations with the gospel.
Let’s be gospel-minded. Let’s use our monies rightly. Let the salvation of the world mean more to you than any other thing. All those round the world, if you’re reading this devotional, you can begin today. Give bountifully to the church to support evangelism. Begin writing gospel articles and tracts and paste them around street corners, in institutions, etc. Tell those you meet today about Christ. Lead them to this website so that they can learn more about Christ and grow in Him.
Remember, every soul is priceless before God (Matt. 16:26). Begin now!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Precious Jesus, thanks unlimited for your great gift (salvation) for humanity. I make an intense commitment today, to affect the eternal destiny of many by making this precious gift available to many with all I have and with all I am. Thanks selfless LORD, amen.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Keep the smiles on
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Read Jn. 14:1, 27
“Behold, I am the LORD, the GOD of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Jer. 32:27.
I once heard a song in a local dialect. It says ‘Lord, take away all my troubles so that I would have comfort.’
Although asking GOD to take away all your troubles is good, to think that you’ll only have comfort when those troubles are gone isn’t right. As a Christian, you ought to learn not to be moved by circumstances. You ought to learn to be happy in ALL situations. You can keep genuine smiles on in spite of all your challenges:
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Phil. 4:4. So you see, it’s clear: the Christian life is one of joy 24 hours a day, all year round.
Bible tells us how the apostles were flogged and warned; when they were released, they went about rejoicing. They rejoiced not because they have been released, but because they have suffered for Christ (Acts 5:40-42). Praise God! That’s the way the Christian life is – that’s how you should have it – joy everyday!
Like the song writer wrote:
“I’m not moved by what I see, Halleluyah!
I’m not moved by what I hear, Halleluyah!
I’m not moved by what they say, Halleluyah!
I’m only moved by the Word of God, Halleluyah! Let that be your life.
“Rejoice evermore.” 1 Thes. 5:16 Praise God!
So learn to make yourself joyful – joyful because you belong to Christ. As you live according to this standard the bible talks about, God turns around hard times, certainly nothing is too hard for him. Get ready. for your miracle. It’s time for your miracle. You’ve great future!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I thank you, for your joy is at work in me every single day. I’m for ever happy and cheerful for you’re at work in me. Indeed, there’s absolutely nothing too difficult for you. Halleluyah!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … A responsibility to fill the world with the word
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for Today: Read Mk. 16:15-20
“… For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.” Isa 11:19 KJV
As Christians, there’s an onus on us to spread God’s word throughout the world, specifically to each and every country of this world.
If there is something the world should be filled with, then it must be the ‘knowledge of the LORD’-that’s God’s Word . But that cannot happen except we all get involved!
Jesus told us :
“….ye [Christians] shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.” Acts 1:8 AMP. Praise God!
Every one deserves to know about Jesus; every one should be presented with the Word of God on daily basis. It behoves on us make sure the Word of God gets to each and every soul in the world regularly. Together, we can take the Word of God to the very bounds of the earth daily.
With the advent of social sites/networks, many today can be reached with the Word of God. Don’t despise small things. Don’t take small things for granted : making it a point to forward the word of God every day on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and other platform can go a long way in fulfilling this divine mandate given to us by our Jesus Christ.
When there is a declaration that the church/fellowship is going on evangelism, making it a point to always get involved isn’t a mere participation in church / fellowship activity, but an obedience to this divine mandate of filling the world with the word. No reason is good enough for us to disobey this divine instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ.
To say you were in a hurry that’s why you didn’t forward a message is unacceptable. People who have God and His word as their top-most priority don’t talk that way. Don’t be like those we would forward jokes / funny clips / pictures but never forward the word.
The word of God must reign. We can exalt the word of God in every home. Praise God!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
In the name of the Lord Jesus I’m committed to the gospel. I use every medium available to me to supply the world around me with a very rich ‘dose’ of God’s word DAILY. I declare nothing can distract me in this divine purpose of mine. Praise God!

“Yochanah (Jonna) the wife of Herod’s finance minister Kuza (Cusa), Shoshanah (Susanna), and many other women who drew on their own wealth to help him (Jesus).” Lk. 8:3 CJB
Money has always been an engine on which the work of God runs. The scripture above (today’s key verse) might be new to many.Beloved, things have never changed – Jesus used money in His days on earth for ministry and money is also necessary for the work of the Kingdom today.
In fact, from the key verse, we realize that it was not only Jonna, Cusa and Susanna that supported Jesus’ ministry financially – we are told ‘many other women’ were also involved in this sponsorship. What a great amount of money they generated regularly to a help Jesus and his disciples! What a great sponsorship that might have been! This point is made clearer when one considers the phrase ‘… (they) drew on their own wealth.’ This means these women were not just (i.e. averagely) rich but wealthy. The use of the phrase ‘many other women’ also further elucidates this point. Praise God!
Indeed, King Solomon was right!
“Money has an answer for everything.” Eccl. 10:19 CJB.
This online blessing and divine mandate (i.e. this website) has been made possible by the support of genuine ministry partners. Through this money-medium, we’ve been able to touch and influence greatly lives from across the globe. We get into the homes/offices of not only Christians but non-Christians too. Our statistics show we reach not only Ghanaians, but Russians, Americans, Croatians, etc. with our timely and prophetic messages on daily basis, but this has not been without the help of money.
Do you know that even after the launch of this site, without money for publicity, you might have possibly not heard of this site? Beloved, it’s still money that helps bring the Word of God to many daily.
Certainly with more money, we can achieve so much more for the Kingdom of God. That’s why it’s imperative we support the work of God in the churches/fellowships we belong. Let your money also work for the Lord. Beloved, let the requirements/needs of the Kingdom mean more to you than your own needs. Remember, if the world would walk in righteousness, it depends on you and me – how we promote the gospel! Become a financial partner of the Kingdom today ! Let’s fill the whole world with the knowledge of the glory of God! (Hab. 2:14). Halleluyah!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Lord I’m so grateful for your Word this day. Please help me to (continually) help the work of God with my substance where ever I find myself, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen!

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … God disciplines us
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Read Heb. 12:3-13
“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening – it is painful! But afterwards there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.” Heb. 12:11 NLT.
Have you ever wondered what King David meant when he said, “Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me?”
He had learnt to submit to God’s strict discipline in such a way that he now received comfort from it, instead of discomfort.
Throughout the Book of Psalms, we see many times that David saw himself as sheep with God as his shepherd. The ‘rod’ and ‘staff’ are shepherding tools for inflicting pain on the animals/flock. This is done by the shepherd to induce right behaviour in the animals/flock.
When we were children, one of the things we hated most was the cane – whether it be found at home or at school. I remember we often considered the teachers who flogged us often as callous and evil. Funny enough, the mindset of many children today is no different.
When I reminisce those days and consider today, I greatly appreciate the hard training that was forced on me. Those of us who submitted to the discipline of our teachers and parents, and even our Christian leaders have indeed benefited greatly. Now instead of reporting late to places, we’re punctual: instead of going fisticuffs to defend ourselves, we go for a more ideal resolution.
Indeed, it has helped mould in me great virtues – top-notch demeanour which is positively affecting and influencing the world round me today. Praise God!
Beloved, Papa God relates with us today the same way. As His children, He disciplines us (Heb. 12:5-8). As seen in today’s key verse, we’re guaranteed of a great future when we go through that discipline. Praise God!
You may be at a discipline stage in your life right now. Perhaps you might be thinking you’re where you find yourself today because of one mistake of yours or another. But even if it was your mistake, God will use it for your good (Rom. 8:28). The story of Joseph vividly illustrates this truth. Joseph might have thought that if he had kept the dream to himself, he would have not been sold, yet God used this seeming ‘mistake’ to elevate him in the long run.
What ever your situation, I want you to understand that God loves you and your tomorrow is far better than today. Only one thing is needful: submit to God’s hard training.
Cheer up, child of God!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
LORD I’m so grateful you’re a God of discipline. Like David, I pray and declare that I receive comfort from your discipline. Continue to help me fully submit to your discipline, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen!

Text(s) for today: Read Lk. 6:38
“But this I say he which soweth sparingly shall reap sparingly and he that soweth bountifully shall reap… bountifully” 2 Cor. 9:6 KJV
When preachers tell people to give big, they’re not doing a new thing . They’re only continuing what started in the Bible as recorded in today’s key verse – just amplifying this tenets of scripture, re-echoing the divine words of God.
Obedience to this tenet, just like all other tenets of scripture will bring one untold blessing and usher one into a deeper walk with God. This blessing may be financial blessing, material blessing, academic, blessing of good health, etc.
“To sow sparingly” means “to give economically, in a restrained manner; i.e. scantily, moderately.” It means “to sow stingly or meanly.”

“…at Ephesus…the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified… So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed (gained mastery over the way of life of the people).” Acts 19 : 17,20
The gospel is very important. Every where the gospel of the kingdom is preached, Jesus is glorified. When that happens, the Word of God begins to prevail, ie. gain mastery over the way of life of the people in the area.
Like it happened in Ephesus, if they were magicians, they give up their sorcery. Prostitutes and murderers put a halt to their evil deeds and take on the attitude of Christ, just to mention but a few. Praise God!
That’s why we must support the gospel. That’s why Christ must reign. Wherever we find yourselves.

“… she… has given everything she had to live on.” Lk. 21:4 CEB
Our text(s) for today talks about the widow who gave ALL she had to support the work of the ministry.
This story is certainly one of the most inspiring stories in scripture. This woman’s attitude towards the things of God is so powerful. She could have thought, “I’m a poor woman. My husband is dead and I have no one to rely on.
If I give out this amount of money to support God’s work, what will I eat? I’d better kept it” but inspiring enough, she never thought that way.

Text(s) for today: Read Eph. 6 :10-18
“…praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit…” Eph. 6:18 KJV.
Although our key verse says “praying always,” yet some do not pray ALWAYS. Many Christians give several reasons for not being able to spend time in prayer daily. But beloved, no reason is good enough for not praying ALWAYS!
The fact that the project you are embarking on is one that will be a blessing to many or one that God told you to embark on and complete does not mean it is shielded from incurring the wrath of this “spiritual wickedness” as seen in the text for today.

“For David said, ‘Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and glory throughout all lands (that is , its beauty should be comparable to none in the world). I will therefore make preparation for it.’ So David provided materials in great quantity before his death.” 1 Chron. 22:5 ESV
This scripture reveals the mindset of David. As far as David was concerned, the best of the best must be for God always! By this statement, he desires that the house of God be more magnificent than even his own palace. Not many have thought this way before. As Christians, this mindset of David should be our mindset too. Each one of us would like to live in a nice house so why should one think just any structure would be okay for church service? Text(s) for today: 2 Cor. 8: 1-7, Lk. 21 : 1-4
“…they were extremely generous in their giving, even though they are very poor.” 2 Cor. 8:2 GNB
I once overhead someone say, “My family and I couldn’t contribute to the church construction because we are very poor. We do not even have enough to support ourselves.”
Many folks hold the same thought and they think that justifies their uncharitableness. God is never pleased with such thoughts because they are not scriptural.
Even the very poor can still give. Our key verse makes this point quite firmly. The story of the widow in our text(s) for today tells us same. In fact, the King James uses the phrase ‘deep poverty’ for ‘very poor’ in 2 Cor. 8:2.
It’s important we understand this point very well : every other thought contrary to this biblical fact is erroneous and it originates from the devil…CLICK HERE FOR REST OF TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL→

Text(s) for today: Read Mark 14:3-9 ; Mal. 1:6-14
“Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God (that is, they have given God what they had to spare, i.e. their surplus ) but she of her penury (deficit, deep poverty, wants, extreme lack) hath cast in all the living that she had (that is, she has given out all she had to make a living).” Lk 21:2-4
Clearly, not every offering is of value before the Lord. Our text(s) for today teaches that if an offering would be valuable to God, it first ought to be valuable to you . He said to him, ‘Tend My sheep.’ “ John 21:15-16 NKJV.
If you are a Christian leader, one privilege you have to show God that you love Him is by tending his flock just like the way every parent have great love and concern for his child, God also has great love for His kids. “Bring ye all the tithes unto the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of host, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.“ Mal. 3:10 KJV

“Bring ye all the tithes unto the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith…if I will not… pour out a blessing…”
In legal studies, we have the term, ‘the spirit of the law.’ The ‘spirit of the law’ refers to what influences a law to be formulated. For example, if people are stealing belongings of their neighbours after 12 midnight leads to the formulation of a new rule/law that imposes a curfew after 12, the spirit behind that curfew is theft prevention/reduction.
When it comes to the amendment of this curfew law, it’s necessary one allows the spirit of that law to greatly influence the amendment. If that does not happen, the amendment will make the law inefficient as far as theft prevention/reduction is concerned.
In our key verse above, we…unravel ’the spirit‘ behind God asking us to give.
“… that there may be meat in my house,” He says; that’s why He wants us to give . That’s the ’spirit of the law.’ We all don’t like bankruptcy, God doesn’t like his house to go bankrupt either.

I run toward the goal, so that I can win the prize of being called to heaven. This is the prize that God offers because of what Christ Jesus has done. Phil 3: 14 CEV
It is amazing many are doing everything possible to take hold of certain promises or prizes in life and in the Word of God(this may be getting to heaven, attaining academic excellence, enjoying perfect health). What a positive confession! Bible has many of such confessions. This particular confession talks about the fact that there is nothing impossible for you. And guess what? Paul uttered these bold words when he was facing serious adversity – he actually wrote this while in cell!
Perhaps you’re also facing serious adversity too. It may be your academic results, a health condition, a job search adversity, but like Apostle Paul declared, you also must be bold enough and utter words of your faith. You should understand that what you say is what you get in life.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Tarry in prayer
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Text(s) for today: Read Ps. 23:6; Matt. 6:32-33; 1 Tim 4:7-9, 15-16
“And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus went out into the mountain to prayer, and continued all night (tarried) in prayer to God.” Luke 6:12 KJV
“…exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little (ie. has some benefit/value) : but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is (i.e. it is essential for a fruitful earthly life) and of that which is to come (it is also beneficial for the life hereafter). This is a faithful saying (true saying, i.e. it is absolutely true) and worthy of all acceptance,” says the manual for life (Bible) in 1 Tim 4:7-9. Praise God!
Although the manual says we should rather do spiritual training, yet not all have taken heed to this instruction. Indeed, several folks have no regard for this divine truth which Bible says is ‘worthy of all acceptance’ (i.e. this truth which can be trusted and so it deserves complete acceptance). It is manifest in the amount of time people spend in doing other things (watching movies, chatting on-line, working for money, academic studies, etc.) relative to the amount of time spent on spiritual exercise (praying, fasting, etc).

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL … ® Why we submit to God-ordained authority

Text(s) for today: 1 Cor. 16:15-16
“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” Heb 13:17.
Bible teaches that God sees some sins more serious than others (Jn. 19:11b KJV; 1 Sam 2:17; 1 Jn. 5:15-16). In order words, there are ‘more serious sins’ and ‘less serious sins.’ But whether a sin be less serious or more serious, we must avoid it.
One of the sins that ranks at the very apex of serious sins is pride. God cannot tolerate pride in any form. Bible tells us He ‘hates’ it (that is, He has deep, intense, extreme dislike for it) [Prov. 6 16-17 KJV, compare with GNB ; Prov. 16 :5].
Unfortunately, Lucifer, the former archangel of God had this sin as his problem. No wonder God had to drive him out of heaven speedily (Isa. 14:11-15; Rev. 12:7-9).

But one thing that is worth-mentioning is that when we intercede for others, God is very excited. He becomes very very happy with us. The above scripture says intercession pleases God. From the key scripture above, we understand that before someone thinks wrong thought, commits adultery etc, the heart has already conceived it. All evil thought originates from the heart –that’s the starting point! If something can enter your heart, very soon it’d dictate the way you think and if it dictates the way you think, that would determine how your life would be (Prov.23:7) so you see, it’s a chain. MAIDEN LSM FOR THIS SEMESTER
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Last semester, we got versed in the various rudiments for an effective prayer. We were concerned primarily with reasons why every Christian should make prayer a part and parcel of him/her.
This semester promises to be even more powerful! This semester, we concentrate on the KINDS OF PRAYERS. Throughout this semester, we’ll be studying detailedly about 7 kinds of prayer (including prayer of intercession, prophetic prayer, prayer of vow, prayer of praise & thanksgiving). We’ll learn how to employ each to our advantage.
We begin this series with an insightful study on THE PRAYER OF INTERCESSION.
We converge @ our rendezvous for our 1st LSM Bible Class for the semester:
Akuafo Hall LSM: Behind the G-Block of Akuafo Main Hall, close to the Artisan’s Workshop.

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … Don’t waste your finances

Text(s) for today: Read Lk. 15: 11-16
“…the younger son sold his part of property and left home with money. He went to a country far away, where he wasted his money in reckless living. He spent everything he had – then a severe famine spread over that country, and he was left without a thing.” Luke 15:13-14 GNB.
Many do not know how to handle money – that explains why many make very little or no progress at all in their lives. Handling money rightly is not the same as being stingy or ungenerous. It’s not the same as being hard-fisted, uncharitable or mean-spirited. In fact, ‘one gives freely, yet grows all the richer, another withholds what he should give and only suffer want (lack),’ Proverbs 11:24 ESV.
It is also true that…CLICK HERE TO READ THE REST OF THE MESSAGE→

Text(s) for today: Read Eph. 1:3
“… beware lest you say in your (mind and) heart, ‘My power and might of my hand (hard work) have gotten me this wealth. But you shall (earnestly) remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.” Deut. 8:17-18 AMP.
People have often asked, ‘what is this power that enables one to gain wealth?’ Well, it is the blessings of God (Proverbs 10:21).
There are many people who have not realized how powerful his blessings are. They prefer money…CLICK HERE TO READ THE REST OF THE MESSAGE→

INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … You can overcome every challenge of sin 4
Posted by godsvisionlegon
Welcome! This is a sequel to a teaching we began on Friday and continued on Saturday and Sunday. It teaches practical way to deal with struggles with sin, so-called habits and addictions. This is the final part of the series. ‘So how is watching done?’ We answer this question.
Text(s) for today: Read 1 Tim. 4:15; Matt. 26:36 – 46; Mk. 1:35, Lk. 6:12; 9:28
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, …honest…just…pure… think on these things.” Phil. 4:8 KJV
It’s simple to watch. To watch, just have time alone with the Lord and think of God. The difference between ‘watching’ and ‘prayer’ is that with prayer, you talk, but with watching you are completely silent.
Watching is more like Christian meditation ( 1 Tim. 4:15; Phil. 4:8 – 9). With meditation, you think on the word of God (you’ve heard, read, etc) but when watching you’re thinking on…CLICK HERE TO READ ON→

Get ready for a change… Get ready for the time of your life as you apply this Bible-based teaching in your life…
Text(s) for today: Mk. 13:37; Lk. 21:36; Matt.24:42
“… what I say unto you, I say unto all, watch”. Mk. 13:37 KJV.
You don’t need to be a prophet to be a able to watch. You don’t even need to have any spiritual gift (like word of knowledge prophecy, etc.) for that. Spiritual gifts are important, but like I’ve said, they are not necessities for watching.
As far as you don’t need to be a prophet or do not require a spiritual gift to be able…CLICK HERE TO READ THE REST OF THE MESSAGE→
