INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … You can enjoy peace every single day
Text(s) for today: Phil. 4:6-7
“Casting all your care (worries) upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Pet. 5:7 KJV.
Do we sit at home worrying about our broken table when we can send it to the carpenter for repairs? Certainly not!
Or do we keep on being disturbed even after the carpenter receives the broken furniture? Certainly not!
When you take the broken furniture to the carpenter, you leave the carpenter knowing that your furniture would be fixed.
That’s exactly what the LORD wants from us: to cast all our cares upon Him!
“For we do not have a priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet did not sin.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Heb. 4:15 – 16.
How do you approach God’s throne of grace? The answer is ‘by prayer,’ and as you approach God’s throne, you’ll receive help in those times of need, the scripture says! Praise God!
Let God be the one to care about your challenges and difficulties and not you : He’s the carpenter and thus he is the one supposed to care (‘worry’) and not you.
When you cast all your cares upon Him, you’ll be invigorated (Lk.22:41 – 43, esp. v43) and you’ll receive answers. You’ll receive help in those times of need and you’d enjoy perfect peace (Phil.4:6-7).
Indeed be encouraged, for God has not left you (He cares for you) : today’s key verse confirms it; so don’t leave God through prayerlessness.
You’ve a bright future and to fulfill it, you certainly need the strength of prayers for those worries.Entertain no anxiety at all. You can REFUSE to worry; start from today.
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
I thank you Jehovah for you care for me greatly! You love me and you’re concerned about the minutest detail of my life (Matt. 10:29-30). Today, I submit all my ‘broken furniture’ to you, knowing without any iota of doubt that you’ll fix them.
I enjoy unfetted peace from this day on for ever, knowing that I will always submit my concerns to you.
Thank you LORD for an answered prayer, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
