INSPIRING DAILY DEVOTIONAL ® … WYSIWYG (What You Say Is What You Get)
Text(s) for today: Prov. 18:20-21
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength” Phil 4:13 NIV
What a positive confession! Bible has many of such confessions. This particular confession talks about the fact that there is nothing impossible for you. And guess what? Paul uttered these bold words when he was facing serious adversity – he actually wrote this while in cell!
Perhaps you’re also facing serious adversity too. It may be your academic results, a health condition, a job search adversity, but like Apostle Paul declared, you also must be bold enough and utter words of your faith. You should understand that what you say is what you get in life.
In dark times, be like David who boldly confessed, ‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.’ Ps. 23:4.
What a mindset! You see why no reason at all on earth justifies your fears; you can conquer the fears with faith-filled words as these.
“I shall not die but live…” Ps. 118:17 declared the psalmist. Do you see, fear of death does not come from God. It is not God’s wish. Death is an enemy (1 Cor 15:26). You should drive away fear by speaking in unison with the psalmist. Praise God!
Words are powerful. They can bring life into your situation or make it die (deteriorate) further. Words can encourage (inspire and lift you) and words can also discourage. Don’t be one of those folks who always speak negative words. They are only applying the power of words to their disadvantage. God gave you a mouth not to destroy you, but for you to use it to chart your progress in this life (Prov. 18:21).
Paul used his mouth to his advantage (Phil 4:13). No wonder he was inarguably the greatest apostle. David too, no wonder he never lost a battle. You’re a prophet of your own life and situations. Refuse to be moved by what you see and speak what you would like to see. Why? Because what you say is what you ALWAYS get! Praise God!
You should now understand why first class is not impossible irrespective of your current academic standing. It should be clear to you now why you can live in divine health in every single second of your life. With this teaching, you can be confident a new job is on the way. Praise God! Nothing changes until you speak. It’s time to speak now! Remain blessed!
Prayer & Confessions (pray out loudly)
Lord I’m grateful for this timely teaching. As a prophet of my life, I declare I walk in peace, joy, success in Jesus’ mighty name. I’m convinced that with my faith, I can triumph over every challenge or difficulty I meet in this life (1 Jn. 5:4). Halleluyah!
